Dragan Teodorovic – Zeko, was born
March 9 in Mostar.
At the age of 17, he already started staging concerts for
popular groups like "Zabranjeno Pusenje" (all their tours), "Merlin",
"Crvena Jabuka" and others.
In 1988 he founded a concert production company "Mrak i Ja" (Darkness
and Me), an agency that organizes and realizes the technical parts of concerts,
theatre shows, etc. He specializes in lighting and special effects so besides
working with rock groups, they also prepare big manifestations "Winter of
Sarajevo", "Summer of Mostar", "Yutel for Peace",
electoral campaigns, band promotions, like Coca Cola and Levis. Being a
lighting expert, his current challenge is in the theatre and as a master of
lighting of a Mostar Youth and National Theatre and Sarajevo Theatre "Obala"
and with the shows "Tattooed Theatre" and "Moon Show",
directed by Mladen Materic, visits many festivals in Europe…
From 1988 to 1991 he directed videos for big recording companies like "Diskoton"
from Sarajevo and "Yugoton" from Zagreb. In 1991 he moved to Serbia
(Kragujevac).
From 1991 to 1995 he worked in the "Student’s Cultural Centre"
Kragujevac, sound and lightman, when he organizes 100s of professional
concerts, at the top of his field using new technology.
In 1995 he worked on a huge project (Light and Lasser) "Open Road"
from Moscow for the ballet "Samson and Delilah".
1996, he participated at a couple of festivals in Italy, Greece, and Hungry
with the theatre "Dodest" from Podgorica (Montenegro).
From 1997 to 1999 he was with "Scena" from Kragujevac where he
organized and created a lot of very demanding and professional programs.
He embarks with band "Emir Kusturica and The No Smoking Orchestra" in
1999.
By accepting rock stage and theatre stage as his own surrounding, Dragan
Teodorovic started to actively capture the most interesting moments and
atmosphere on rock concerts by his camera, as well as the energy of the actors
on the theatre stage. He started to work with "Emir Kusturica & The No
Smoking Orchestra" in 1999, when his professional career as a photographer
has also began.
He is the member of Cinema Photo Club Kraljevo and Photo Association of Serbia
from 2008.year.
His photos were published in all national, as well as, the most prestigious
world magazines and newspapers: Rolling Stone, Playboy, Figaro, Madame, Le
Monde, Corriere della Sera… He is the author of two photo monographs: Emir
Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra and Punk Opera Time of the Gypsies.
